Dr Dom Williams

Dominic Williams was appointed to the Department of Pharmacology at University of Liverpool in 2001, as the Pfizer New Blood Lecturer in Drug Metabolism. He gained tenureship in 2004 and senior lectureship in 2008. He works within the newly established MRC Centre for Drug Safety Science. He is a member of the British Toxicology Society (BTS) and the British Pharmacology Society. Dominic has served on committees of the BTS and was Chair of the early career toxicologist’s sub-committee. Dominic was awarded the BTS Young Investigator Award in 2006 and has over 40 publications in the field of Drug Safety. Dominic is a member of the ABRHP, an MHRA Expert Advisory Group.

Dr Williams was a speaker at the 4th International Workshop on AKU, presenting on: Pharmacological strategies for facilitating the excretion of homogentisic acid in Alkaptonuria.
